Often largely funded

Several grant programs exist in Canada. Today, feasibility studies for anaerobic digestion are often very largely, if not entirely, grant-funded.

Financial assistance is also available for investments related to equipment purchases. We support our clients through these processes.

Research

R&D underway at Synergaïa.

We are studying anaerobic digestion to produce both renewable energy and digestate, a natural fertilizer that improves the quality of Quebec farmland. Our work focuses on five areas.

  1. Increase the nutrients available in the soil.
  2. Improve plants' ability to absorb nutrients from soil enriched with digestate.
  3. Optimize the land application of digestate on Quebec farmland.
  4. Produce renewable natural gas (RNG) on farms, from the energy contained in manure on livestock farms.
  5. Set up a pilot project for anaerobic digestion of livestock manure, on pre-selected farms.
